RESIDENCIES
Since November 2025 I have been one of the temporary residents at 59 Rivoli, an open space where artists meet and engage with the public, exhibit their works, and simultaneously create new work. This ongoing experience has taught me a lot and has enabled me to connect to other artists and to be open and connected to the people who ultimately view my art and engage with it. My residency has allowed me to form collaborations, work together on projects and shape and define my own work in dialogue with other artists that I met through 59 Rivoli.
To me, one very important aspect of my artistic process is the artistic research that exists only in relation to the world around me and my communication and exchange with it. As other people are fundamentally part of this world around me, part of my artistic research exists of my conversations and meetings with other people and artists. I have found through my art academy and my recent residency at 59 Rivoli that I can only develop my work when I am surrounded with people who are also creative and can understand and aid my own creative processes through discussions and reflections.
AWARDS
In 2023 I received the Gilbert de Bontridder Award for my graduation project Embrace me. This award is specifically meant for art students who have a clear vision on the function of art in contemporary society, who successfully combine theoretical research and artistic practice, and can place their own artwork within a broader context of art history and art theory, forming a dialogue with other artists and their work.
